MOA RESEARCH FUND SUBCOMMITTEES

On behalf of the MOA President, I would like to invite you to join various subcommittees of the MOA Research Fund of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association to develop, advise and supervise the use of the Research Fund.

There are three independent subcommittees which need your voluntary contributions:-

(1) Research Ethical Subcommittee (5 members) - We need people who have experience in research to guide and evaluate research project funded by the MOA research fund. The subcommittee will principally review the ethical and scientific expect of the project.

(2) Research Fund-Raising Subcommittee (20 members) - We plan to raise two million dollars in a few years. The fund raising will be through many channels. The fund raised will be the capital sum and only the interest accrued will be paid to successful research projects.

(3) Research Management Committee (5 members) - The subcommittee will be in charge of supervising how the fund is used, the research project selection and progress of the research and organizing research conference (e.g. how to conduct research)

The future progress and the dignity of our Malaysian Orthopaedic Community will be in the quality of our research.
